Welcome to Nibi. These terms govern your use of the Nibi application and website at nibi.fi. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. What Nibi Is
Nibi is an AI-powered biography interview app. You have conversations about your life — by voice or text — and Nibi turns those conversations into written biographies. The service is currently in early access and available by invitation.
2. Account Requirements
- You need a valid invite code to create an account during the early access period.
- You must provide a valid email address and verify it to use the full service.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Nibi.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Let us know immediately at hello@nibi.fi if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Your Content
You own your stories. The life stories, memories, and personal details you share with Nibi belong to you. The biographies generated from your conversations also belong to you. We do not claim any ownership over your content.
By using the service, you grant Nibi a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service — conducting interviews, generating biographies, and storing your data securely. We will not use your content for any other purpose.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Nibi in good faith and for its intended purpose. You may not:
- Use Nibi to generate content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or violates the rights of others
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the application
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or otherwise access the service in bulk
- Resell or redistribute access to the service
- Deliberately attempt to disrupt or overload the service
5. AI-Generated Content
Nibi uses artificial intelligence to conduct interviews and write biographies. While we strive for accuracy, please be aware that:
- AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies, awkward phrasing, or misinterpretations of what you shared
- Biographies are generated based on the information you provide — the quality depends on the detail and clarity of your responses
- You should review any generated biography before sharing it with others
- Nibi is a writing tool, not a factual authority — the final responsibility for accuracy rests with you
6. Early Access
Nibi is currently in early access. This means:
- Features may change, be added, or be removed without advance notice
- The service may experience downtime or interruptions
- We may limit the number of biographies or interviews available to each account
- We welcome your feedback — it helps shape the product
7. Intellectual Property
Apart from your content (which you own), the Nibi application, its design, code, branding, and underlying technology are owned by Nibi and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the application without our written permission.
8. Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we protect it, and what rights you have. By using Nibi, you agree to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of Liability
Nibi is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service
- Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or zero, if the service was free)
- We are not responsible for any loss of data beyond what is described in our data protection practices
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you do, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy (encryption key destroyed immediately, records removed after 30 days).
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. If we terminate your account without cause, we will provide reasonable notice and allow you to export your data first.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the app. Continued use of Nibi after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Nibi will be resolved in the courts of Finland, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
